Acute CNA Program
Certified Nursing Assistants are in demand in acute care hospitals within our community. The Acute CNA Program is designed to prepare students for employment in an acute or sub-acute healthcare facilities. The course expands upon the traditional training and applies it to the acute care setting.
Duration:32 theory(classroom/lab) & 48 clinical hours
Additional requirements: Students are required to have an immunization, TB skin test or chest x-ray and physical exam before clinical rotation.
The Acute CNA Training Program consists of 32 hours of academic coursework, and 48 hours of clinical experience.
Our Nursing Assistant Training program will inspire students to adhere to ethical, moral and professional standards of nursing practice through the integration of the school’s philosophy and curriculum. Our program will also focus on building a high level of confidence in all areas of nursing practice competencies which will enable students provide optimal care to patients.
To be eligible for enrollment in the Nursing Assistant Training Program, the applicants must meet the following criteria as follows:
Classes will be rescheduled if less than 12 students pre-register.
· Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant to enroll.
· License and CPR must be current.
· Must be a high school graduate or possess a GED.
· Must visit the school to enroll and pre-register.
· Health screening and TB test must be current.
Applicants should call the Admission to schedule for an appointment with the institution’s Admission Office for an interview and tour of the facility. Applicants will be given an “Admission Packet” (tuition fee and payment options). The applicant should complete the admission applications with all the admission requirements and the non-refundable $100.00 registration fee. At this time the applicants will receive the school catalog. The school official will review the application and will notify the applicant in writing to schedule a Placement Interview with the Program Director.
